Vivint offers the most comprehensive voice-controlled smart home for
Google Home users

PROVO, Utah–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Vivint Smart Home, the leading smart home services provider in North
America, today announced that its comprehensive voice-controlled smart
home solution now works with the Google Assistant on Google Home. Vivint
is the first smart home services provider to integrate with Google’s
voice-enabled speaker, giving consumers an easy way to control their
home using their voice.

Vivint customers can simply say “Ok Google” to control multiple smart
home products throughout their home, including their smart locks,
lights, cameras, garage doors, thermostats and security system. For
example, just saying “Ok Google, tell Vivint I’m hot,” can turn down the
thermostat. Thanks to Google Home’s far-field voice recognition and the
Google Assistant’s industry-leading natural language processing, it
understands customers’ commands, even from across the room.

Beginning in April, Vivint customers will be able to connect Google Home
to their Vivint smart home system using the Google Home app. They can
then talk to the device to control their home, in addition to using the
Vivint SkyControl panel or Vivint Smart Home app.

A recent survey
by Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC and Vivint Smart Home found that
Americans are ready to embrace voice control in the home. According to
the survey, 72 percent of Americans who have smart home products want
voice control.
